Prestige Biopharma Group Participates in BIO USA 2024 Exhibition
Prestige Biopharma Group announced that it will participate in the BIO International Convention (BIO USA) 2024, scheduled to take place in San Diego, USA from June 3 to June 6.
At the event, the group will operate a joint exhibition booth with three of its affiliates—Prestige Biopharma, Prestige Biologics, and Prestige Biopharma IDC—to actively pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
This will mark the first participation of Prestige Biopharma IDC in BIO USA. Sang-Seok Koh, who was newly appointed as CEO of IDC in March, will lead discussions on open innovation strategies and potential collaborations related to the group’s innovative drug candidates being developed at the Innovative Discovery Center, which is scheduled to open in September.
During the conference, Prestige Biopharma plans to introduce its antibody therapeutics pipeline, including the pancreatic cancer antibody candidate PBP1510 and the solid tumor therapeutic candidate PBP1710, and conduct technology licensing meetings with global pharmaceutical companies.
The company will also pursue regional licensing-out opportunities for its biosimilar portfolio, including HD201, a trastuzumab biosimilar currently under review by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and HD204, a bevacizumab biosimilar that has entered interim analysis in Phase 3 clinical trials.
Prestige Biologics, the group’s CDMO subsidiary, will also focus on expanding its presence in the U.S. market. Executive Vice President Jaeyoung Yang from the Business Development Center and newly appointed Director Fiona Hwang will attend the event to explore new contract manufacturing opportunities and strengthen the company’s global client base.
Earlier this year, Prestige Biologics signed a contract worth approximately KRW 10 billion with Celltrion for biopharmaceutical manufacturing services.
Chairwoman Soyeon Park of Prestige Biopharma Group stated that BIO USA represents a key global platform where leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies gather to establish partnerships. She noted that the event provides an important opportunity to secure licensing deals for antibody therapeutics and CDMO contracts.
She added that while the company previously focused on strengthening the global recognition of K-bio through continuous participation, the group now aims to translate its full value chain—from drug discovery and clinical development to manufacturing—into tangible business outcomes.
Meanwhile, Prestige Biologics recently hosted a global pharmaceutical group at its Osong headquarters for a comprehensive audit of its development, manufacturing processes, and quality systems. The company plans to continue follow-up discussions with the visiting firm as it moves toward a potential final contract.
